AYR Consulting Group
AYR Consulting Group is a team of physicians, nurses and administrators that work with hospitals, medical staff, managers and employees. They can help you better understand standards, guide activities to meet the standards, provide education and guide survey preparation. AYR also conducts mock surveys and provides for continued survey readiness for hospitals.
The founder and president of AYR Consulting, Karen Fernandes, has been a nurse for over thirty years. Karen has served on several Joint Commission committees over the years, including two years as chair of the Professional Technical Advisory Committee for Hospitals (2001-2003). Most recently, she worked on a Joint Commission task force developing the new scoring of standards for 2009. Karen presents seminars on Joint Commission survey preparation, readiness and compliance to Joint Commission standards.
