    The Center for Patient & Professional Advocacy (CPPA) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center was created in early 2003, built on ongoing research that Vanderbilt has done since the late 1980s. The CPPA studies and educates others on important issues such as why patients and families choose to file suit, why certain physicians attract a disproportionate share of malpractice claims and strategies for identifying & intervening on high malpractice-risk physicians.

     


    To identify these high-risk physicians, CPPA personnel use RL Solutions’ feedback management software and CPPA’s PARS system to capture accurate and consistent patient feedback and analyze the data. Combined with the proven strategies for identifying and intervening on high malpractice-risk physicians, CPPA offers invaluable support to the healthcare community.
